Venue shots

May 9, 2009

Just so you can get an idea of the venue, we’ve been for brunch and chinwagged on a reconnaissance mission this morning for our super tech guy, Nat (aka BA Baracus). Here’s a few shots of the main area and the mezzanine (sadly, the springer spaniel doesn’t come with the venue; he was rather lovely):

Update from Barcamp Towers

May 8, 2009

It’s been a busy, but productive, week here at Moseley Barcamp towers. A fairly impromptu meetup on Wednesday night spun out some cracking ideas and allowed a more lingering look at the venue. Another meeting on Thursday saw three of the four-strong organisation team getting their heads together to move elements of the project forwards. Not that we’re meeting freaks, or anything, but we’re doing a brunch tech-recce tomorrow – with all four of us together.

Registration is open for attendees – and it’s really exciting to see some familiar and new faces who’ve already signed up to be part of the action! If you’ve not yet signed up, then get registering.

Moseley Festival’s website is now up and running – check out some of the other great events that are taking place as part of the festival at

And, here’s something that’s not part of the festival – something for the weekend if you’re out and about in Moseley tomorrow. Project X Presents: Xhibition at various locations on Saturday 9th May (via Moseley Exchange):

Project X Flyer Front

Project X Flyer Back

Enjoy the weekend 🙂

Moseley Festival have updated their events site with news about upcoming events taking place throughout the festival. Naturally, we’re in there. Yeah, baby!

Interest in panel hosting has been fantastic – with some wonderful folk coming up with some absolutely cracking ideas! So much so, that we’re already very limited on slots, so if you’re interested you’ll need to be quick, cute and email details to us pronto! Details will be firming up over the next few weeks.

A reminder to you lovely lot, that we’ll be opening up for attendee registrations early in May.

Moseley Barcamp on Rhubarb Radio

April 12, 2009

We’re pleased to announce that Rhubarb Radio will be joining us to cover Moseley Barcamp. They did a fantastic job for us with their live broadcast of WxWM and it was great to be able to allow those who couldn’t be there to get in on the action. Welcome on board, fellas!

Widgets? We haz them

April 11, 2009

Need a reminder to do all the hard work for you and tell you when Moseley Barcamp’s happening? I do, although that’s mainly because I’m forever on the brink of amnesia. The lovely Mark Steadman has kindly whittled up some rather spanky widgets you can use on your blog/website. You have three flavours to choose from – large, medium and small. There’s an HTML version – these badges are just images, but they automatically update every day to show a running countdown to the event. They’ll work anywhere that supports adding basic HTML. There’s also a Flash version if you’re a bit more foxy and your site will support it. Just copy and paste the code as required:
