Information for Panel Hosts – Timings

A few folk have asked about the timing for panels. Well, to put it simply, you’ll have about 5 funky fun-packed minutes to tout your talk, then it opens up to the rest of the attendees to discuss, debate, give feedback and generally chip in. This is a two-way dialogue.

We’ve had excellent interest in panel hosting so the chances are we’ll be running a pretty packed schedule, so please try wherever possible to keep your talk to about 5 minutes (Ms. N. Pugh is the exception to the 5 minute thang, and for a good reason) . The amount of dicsussion generated from panels at WxWM easily made panels run to anything between 15 and 30 minutes, so hopefully some mad science will kick in and we should fit everything in.
